Located at 243 Glen Cove Avenue, M&M offers a high-class Italian dining experience thanks to the thoughtful and talented Chef Robert Occhipinti of Long Island. Diagnosed with Chrohn’s Disease in 2008, Occhipinti used his culinary prowess to create a series of dishes that are nutritious to any individual living with the condition.
On the menu, M&M offers rotating and seasonal specials, all crafted with high-quality ingredients and produce. For example, on the Fall menu, guests can enjoy dishes like Cappelletti with butternut squash, celeriac, pecans and sage as well as eccentric offerings like squid ink Chitarra with calamari and mussel.
Of course, the restaurant also features a large year-round menu, which includes crowd-pleasers like the prime strip steak with polenta cake, mushroom stew and Cipollini onions and the Poulet Rouge chicken with grilled peaches, sunchoke and corn.
Don’t forget to sample one of M&M’s specialty desserts after your meal. Among favorites are the false peach cobbler (Sablée Breton tart with oat crumble, caramel peach sherbert, lemon verbena compressed peaches and browned butter financier) as well as seasonal panna cotta selections.
With a 4.5/5-star Yelp rating and a near-perfect 4.9/5 stars on Facebook, it’s safe to say that M&M is headed down a strong and steady path toward culinary success.
“Hands down the best restaurant in the area. The chef, Rob, crafts an all-new menu every season. I've never had a bad dish or meal here,” writes Kip G. in a Nov. 12 Yelp review.
